Cherry Red Rough Rolled is a bright, cherry red glass - a bold and cheerful red with a light orange undertone - with a delicate texture that causes the glass to sparkle in the sunlight. Rough Rolled has a very soft texture that imparts light distortion and is easy to cut. Rough rolled looks like a soft flannel sheet was pressed into the glass surface while it was still warm. “Rough Rolled” transparents have a subtle, delicate texturing that gently mutes transmitted light and images. Texture is the personality of art glass, suggesting dimension, depth and contrast. In clear glass, texture is also useful for achieving varying degrees of privacy, while adding elegance and richness.
